Goal-Oriented Support for

Navigating Life’s Challenges

Employee Assistance Program

For EAPs, I specialize in helping professionals navigate the bumps in the road that impact daily life and productivity. My approach is short-term and solutions-focused, designed to give you practical tools starting in the very first session. Whether you are dealing with workplace burnout, life transitions, or communication hurdles, we will work together to identify actionable steps to restore your balance. I am committed to providing a focused, collaborative environment where we prioritize your immediate well-being and long-term resilience.

What is an EAP?

  • Many companies provide free therapy sessions through their Employee Assistance Program connected to your health insurance. It is typically 3-8 sessions per concern (not per year) for short-term counseling to address stress, anxiety, grief and relationship concerns.

  • $0 Out-of-Pocket: There are no copays, and you do not have to meet your insurance deductible first.

Confidentiality: Your employer does not receive any information about what we discuss. They only know that the benefit is being used, not why or by whom.

Seamless Transition: If you decide you want to continue therapy after your EAP sessions are finished, we can usually transition directly into using your standard health insurance benefits.

  • Does this count against my insurance? No. EAP sessions are separate from your regular medical benefits. They are "pre-paid" by your employer.

What happens when the EAP sessions run out? We will check in around our second-to-last EAP session. If you feel you’ve met your goals, we’ll wrap up! If you’d like to keep going, we can switch to your regular insurance (where your standard copay/deductible would apply) or a self-pay rate.

How to Get Started

Step 1: Contact your EAP

Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card or log in to your company’s benefits portal. Ask for an "EAP Authorization for Counseling."

Step 2: Get your Authorization Number

The EAP representative will give you a specific authorization code (and tell you how many sessions are covered).

Step 3: Send me the details

Email me your Authorization Number and the number of sessions approved.

Important Note: You must obtain this authorization before our first session. EAP programs generally will not back-date coverage for sessions that have already happened.
